Satish K. Tripathi and Kamiesh Tripathi sold a five-bed, 4.5-bath home at 30 Raphael Court in Amherst to Adam K. Rizzo and Lynn M. Muscato for $640,000 on March 2.

Satish Tripathi is the president at the University at Buffalo(UB). Prior to that, he was with the university as an executive vice president for academic affairs. Before UB, he was with the University of California-Riverside as dean in its Bourns College of Engineering.

He graduated from Banaras Hindu University in India and received a master's degree in statistics from the University of Alberta in Canada and Banaras Hindu University. He was also conferred a Ph.D. in computer science from the University of Toronto and an honorary doctorate of sciences at the Institute of Information Technology in India.

According to BlockShopper.com, there have been 628 home sales in Amherst during the past 12 months, with a median sales price of $168,000.
